The Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association is deeply saddened by the passing of senior sports journalist Mr. Syed Muhammad Sufi who passed away at the age of 80 years in Karachi. Mr. Sufi served with distinction and was widely respected in the sporting fraternity for his dedication and passion for cricket and other sports.
Over the years, he played a significant role in promoting sports journalism in Pakistan and his demise is a great loss to sports community in the country. The PVCA acknowledges his valuable services and his contributions will be remembered with gratitude.
The Chairman of the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association, Mr. Fawad Ijaz Khan offered condolences on the death of Mr. Muhammad Sufi and expressed that: “I had a very old association with Mr. Sufi. He was a very humble and kind hearted person. We pray that Almighty grants the departed soul the highest place in Jannah and give patience to his family and friends in this time of grief.”
