Karachi: Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association has named its squad for the IMC Over-40s Cricket World Cup, set to be Played in Guyana, West Indies from 17th to 31st October 2026. Sixteen teams will compete in the tournament. These include: Pakistan, Australia, India, South Africa, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, USA, Zimbabwe, Canada, Wales, Hong Kong, Scotland, Namibia and Rest of Caribbean.
Pakistan Over-40s Team will travel to Guyana on the back of encouraging performances in the Over-40s age group. Pakistan Over-40s side reached the Final of the IMC Over-40s T20 World Cup 2025 in Karachi where they remained Runners-Up, with Australia clinching the title. In the last ODI Over-40s World Cup held in Cape Town, South Africa in 2024, South Africa were the Champions, while New Zealand finished as Runners-Up.
Junaid Khalil Nainitalwala will lead the side as Captain, with former Pakistan opening batsman Tofeeq Umer, who represented Pakistan in 44 Tests and 22 ODIs and scored over 3,400 international runs, serving as Vice Captain. Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Adnan Akmal, capped 21 times in Tests and five times in ODIs is also part of the squad. Left-arm pacer Muhammad Khalil, who played 2 Tests and 3 ODIs for Pakistan, adds further international pedigree to the lineup. The squad also features several seasoned first-class cricketers

The squad was finalized by the PVCA Selection Committee Chairman and former Test Cricketer Ajaz Ahmed Faquih. Other Selection Committee members included: Amer Ilyas Butt (CEO PVCA), Najeeb Sadiq (Director PVCA) and Amir Sarfaraz (Honorary Secretary PVCA).
