Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association Celebrates its Silver Jubilee

Karachi: Formed on 23rd April 1998, the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association has completed its 25 years. A lively dinner ceremony was held at Karachi Gymkhana Club to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the organization.

Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association is the sole representative body of Seniors and Veterans level cricket in Pakistan. It operates at three age levels which include Over 40s, Over 50s & Over 60s. PVCA since its inception has been successfully making a mark both at the domestic and international levels. The primary domestic tournament has been Inter-City/National Seniors Cup, in its 23 editions, teams from both Lahore & Karachi have grabbed the title 11,11 times whereas the tournament saw joint winners in its fifth edition. In the latest edition, 93 teams from 28 different cities of the Country participated in the competition.

The journey of Pakistani Veterans at the international stage has been equally inspiring. Pakistan Over 60s team won the Inaugural Over 60s World Cup held in Brisbane in September 2022. Pakistan Over 50s team is top-ranked with the highest win/loss percentage in the World which is 88.24.  In the meanwhile, PVCA is gearing up to host the Inaugural Over 40s World Cup in Karachi from 23rd September to 8th October 2023.

Mr. Saeed Ghani Provincial Minister of Sindh for Labour & HR attended the event as Chief Guest along with other notable figures. Momentos were presented to Officials and Directors of PVCA at this occasion in order to acknowledge their vigorous efforts throughout the course of time. Sharing his thoughts at the event, Mr. Saeed Ghani appreciated the various endeavors of Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association and assured full support from Sindh Government in the upcoming Over 40s World Cup.
