Message from the Chairman
Fawad Ijaz Khan
It is with great pride and purpose that I welcome you to the official platform of the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA).
At PVCA, we are not only custodians of cricketing legacy, but passionate architects of its continued evolution. Our mission goes beyond the boundary lines—we aim to honor the greats of yesteryears, reignite their passion for the game, and provide meaningful platforms for veterans to shine once again on both national and international stages.
Pakistan has a rich cricketing heritage, and our senior players have played a critical role in shaping that history. Through PVCA, we ensure that their contributions are celebrated, their experiences are shared with the younger generation, and their competitive spirit continues to inspire.
2025 is a milestone year for us, with the Over-40 Cricket World Cup set to be hosted in Pakistan—a historic event that we hope will bring together 12 teams from across the globe, including Australia, West Indies, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. This World Cup is not just a tournament; it is a celebration of camaraderie, resilience, and the enduring spirit of cricket.
In addition to veterans' cricket, we are deeply committed to nurturing young talent through School Cricket initiatives across the country. By identifying and supporting potential at the grassroots level, PVCA aims to build a strong pipeline of disciplined, skilled, and passionate cricketers who will carry Pakistan's cricketing legacy into the future.
I invite corporate sponsors, cricket lovers, and well-wishers from around the world to join hands with us. Together, let’s honor our cricketing legends, develop youth talent, and elevate Pakistan’s standing in global cricket.
On behalf of the entire PVCA team, I thank you for your support and belief in our mission.

Our Mission & Vision
Our Vision: To be recognized as the leading Veterans Cricket Association in the world — empowering retired players, organizing international events, and building Pakistan’s positive image through senior cricket diplomacy.

History & Background
The Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA), established in 1998, has continued to grow and made its presence felt on both the national and international scene in a significant way. Consistent policies at the top have been instrumental in overcoming obstacles and meeting challenges.
The idea of forming a veterans cricket association emerged when the Ideal Group organized a tournament in Karachi in 1997. The final of this tournament was contested between Ideal Group and A. O. Clinic and the match was also televised. Subsequently, PVCA was officially formed on 23rd April 1998. At the time of its formation, the basic idea was to reactivate former cricketers and bring them back into the field of play.
The response was greater than initially anticipated and PVCA got off to a flying start. Tremendous enthusiasm was generated within the cricket fraternity and many who had hung up their boots were lured back to the arena they loved.
